תוס' ד"ה מה

Just as the manner of ירק is to grow on all water - מה ירק דרכו ליגדל על כל מים

Summary: The דרשות of מה גורן וכולי and מה ירק can be viewed as an אסמכתא since there is no מעשר אילן וירק (according to פירש"י), or it is a דרשה גמורה concerning שביעית (according to the ר"י). Assuming that it is a דרשה concerning שביעית we can still maintain that אתרוג follows חנטה לחומרא, or that the דרשה was only concerning ירקות and not אתרוג. The משנה compares אתרוג to either אילן or ירק only in regards to חנטה or לקיטה; therefore it does not mention כלאים. It does not mention that it is like ירק concerning פיאה וביכורים for other trees share this trait as well.

תוס' ד"ה לא

Not to an animal and not to cattle - לא לחיה ולא לבהמה

Summary: We are forbidden to interbreed any species with another species. According to the opinion that כוי is born from a תיש וצביה, if we would maintain אין חוששין לזרע האב it would be permitted to breed a כוי with a צבי.

תוס' ד"ה ואשה

And a woman will not allow herself be acquired for less than the value of a Perutoh - ואשה בפחות משוה פרוטה לא מקניא נפשה

Summary: According to (תוספות understanding of) רש"י; the גמרא initially thought that an אשה should be נקנה בחליפין for we derive קניני אשה from קניני שדה. The גמרא concluded however, that since חליפין is valid even בפחות מש"פ and it is a גנאי for a woman to be מקנה herself for a פחות משוה פרוטה, therefore there can be no קנין חליפין at all for קידושין. However, תוספות maintains that even initially the גמרא thought that an אשה can be נקנה with חליפין because it is similar to כסף. There was never a הו"א that we derive קניני אשה from קניני שדה. The גמרא concluded that since חליפין is valid בפחות מש"פ and a woman cannot be acquired with קנין כסף בפחות מש"פ, for it is not considered כסף, therefore this proves that קנין חליפין is separate from קנין כסף and is invalid by קידושי אשה. There is קנין חליפין by עכו"ם. A היקש (or גז"ש) is (usually) used to include קנינים (or דינים), but not to exclude.
