תוס' ד"ה כשרבו

When his master put תפילין on him - כשרבו הניח לו תפילין

Summary:
עבדים do not wear תפילין, therefore when the master dons תפילין on the עבד, this indicates that he freed him. Women make a ברכה on מ"ע שהזמ"ג.

תוס' ד"ה אותו

That slave has no recourse - אותו העבד אין לו תקנה

Summary:
רש"י maintains המפקיר עבדו, he is אסור בשפחה ובבת חורין while תוספות maintains he is מותר בשפחה and אסור בבת חורין.

תוס' ד"ה צריך

He requires, however he has no recourse - צריך ואין לו תקנה

Summary:
There is a statement from ר"י that there is a תקנה for an עבד who is הפקר, by writing a גט שחרור for him.

But if he said it in an expression of freedom it is indeed so - הא אמרה בלשון שחרור הכי נמי

Summary:
ר' יוחנן maintains according to רב דימי that המפקיר עבדו ומת, the עבד requires a גט שחרור, however according to רב שמואל בר יהודה there is no need for a גט שחרור . Alternately המפקיר עבדו ומת, does not require a גט שחרור מדאורייתא, however מדרבנן a גט שחרור is required because the master may claim עבדי אתה.
